I’m not sure it was standard for crisps to come in tin cans in the 1940s - but they may have done in this case!
I thank reader Richard Flude for sending me this rare and unusual article of Leicester memorabilia.
“Here’s a tin box, measuring 10 inches by six inches by six inches,” writes Mr Flude, of Barrow-upon-Soar.
“It was purchased from a charity shop in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.
