Waitrose stops giving away free coffee in some stores after customers complained it attracts CHAVS



Waitrose has curbed a scheme where customers get free takeaway coffee and tea.
The leading supermarket, which operates multiple stores in Birmingham and across the West Midlands, is currently operating a trial at eight of its stores across the UK.
The move came after some complained the offer had been attracting "chavs".
The retailer said customers using certain stores will now have to buy something if they want to collect a free hot drink.
