Vomiting and diarrhoea bug shigellosis - what signs and symptoms parents should be aware of



There are several reports in the media this week about a nasty vomiting and diarrhoea bug - and it's something everyone, and particularly parents, should be aware of.
Shigellosis , also known as bacillary dysentery, is the most common type of dysentery in the UK and, according to NHS Choices, usually affects groups of people in close contact - such as in families, schools and nurseries.
