Virgil van Dijk hints at January move as Celtic prepare for £6m New Year windfall
 

Former Celtic star Virgil van Dijk has hinted at his desire for a January transfer away from Southampton after a failed summer exit.
The Dutch centre-back pushed for a move in the summer but the English Premier League club were reluctant to sell their star man.
Any deal for the defender would put the Hoops in line for a 10 per cent sell-on fee with van Dijk being valued at around £60million.
Liverpool were allegedly closest to signing the 26-year-old during the transfer window and could revive their interest in the New Year as they continue to be plagued by defensive frailities.
