Violent offender becomes second prisoner to abscond after going on leave from Castle Huntly jail near Dundee
 

A VIOLENT convict was on the run last night.
David Arthur is the second inmate to have legged it from Castle Huntly jail in recent weeks.
Arthur, who was on a temporary period of leave, was last seen in the area of Shore Road, Perth, at about 12:30pm on Monday.
Police warned people not to approach Arthur who has previous convictions for violence.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “He has family and associates in the Paisley area, with enquiries ongoing there and throughout the wider Glasgow region.
