Victim's mother appalled sex offender's jail sentence is cut by senior judges



The mother of one of the teenage victims of a sex offender has criticised a court's decision to cut his prison sentence.
On Wednesday the Court of Appeal in London reduced the jail term to be served by singer and entertainer Robin Maughan.
One parent, who cannot be identified by law, said: ""It is appalling that he will now be getting out of prison sooner."
In March Maughan (35) of Western Avenue, Market Harborough was jailed for 14 years and 10 months after admitting 21 sex offences involving children.
But three senior Judges reduced the sentence to 12 years.
