‘Utterly ashamed’ shoplifting pensioners hand themselves in after police release their picture



An elderly couple called the police to hand themselves in after they spotted CCTV images released by police looking for them on social media.
Sylvia Pearson, 69, called the police after she saw the image of her and her husband Barry, 72, on social media in relation to a theft from Boots in Skegness.
The couple, from Horbling Lane in Stickney, near Boston, were seen on CCTV putting items to the value of £107.50 in Mrs Pearson’s black shoulder bag on October 16.
Police issued an appeal for the couple to come forward following the theft.
