Uproar over Llangefni OAP flats forces council U-turn on letting young people in
 

Uproar over plans to move families and young people into a block of flats for the elderly has forced the council to scrap the idea.
North Wales Police were among the critics of the proposal for Llawr-y-Dref in Llangefni, Anglesey, and had warned they would struggle to cope with the expected increase in trouble if young people were allowed to live side by side with the elderly.
The U-turn has been greeted with “great relief” following agreement by the council’s executive committee that minimum age requirements will remain at the flats.
