University marks Anti-Slavery Day with unusual cardboard packaging in Hull city centre



Unusual cardboard packaging has been appeared across the streets of Hull city centre this morning.
But the upright boxes were not left out overnight for the bin crews.
Instead, they are part of a new campaign from the University of Hull's Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation (WISE) to mark Anti-Slavery Day.
Each human-sized box is meant to illustrate modern day slavery is hidden in plain sight, displaying a job title on their sides to highlight public misconceptions around the type of work connected with modern day slavery.
