United States: Victim’s family call for cops to face murder rap



THE family of a black man shot dead by US police demanded that two officers be charged with murder after newly released video footage showed them talking about running him over.
Joseph Mann was shot 14 times on July 11 by officers John Tennis and Randy Lozoya, who were sent to investigate a report that a man was waving a knife and performing karate moves in the street in the Californian city of Sacramento.
Mr Mann, aged 50, was homeless and mentally ill.
The officers “behaved like big-game hunters closing in on an animal,” said family lawyer John Burris.
