Starsport reported yesterday the champ's WBA and WBO belts were likely to be stripped after traces of the recreational drug were found in his system.
But he could still escape without a ban from the sport despite the latest blow to his career.
It was last night revealed a sample given to the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association by Fury contained small traces of substance benzoylecgonine, the central compound found in cocaine.
The controversial British boxer now has the right to request the testing of his B sample through VADA.
