Two people hurt after suspected gas explosion in Newmains
 

Two people are being treated for injuries after a suspected gas explosion at a building in Newmains.
Emergency services were called to the scene at a former convent on Bonkle Road, in Newmains, Lanarkshire just after 1.30pm on Thursday.
Two people, who were in the building at the time, are understood to have got out the building and are being treated on the scene.
The incident is described as ongoing.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1333 hours today to attend an address on Bonkle Road in Wishaw.
