Two people hurt after collision with car

An investigation is under way after two people were hit by a car this morning.
A police spokesman said they were called to Warrington Road, Ince, just before 5.55am to reports of a collision between a Vauxhall Astra and two female pedestrians.
They were both taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.
An ambulance service spokesman confirmed an ambulance was sent to a collision outside the Rock Ferry Inn.
A woman in her late 20s was taken to Salford Royal Hospital for treatment, she said.
The road was closed and motorists have reported experiencing delays in the surrounding area.... read more
