Two in hospital as car smashes into church wall



Two people were injured when a car smashed into a church wall.
The driver of the vehicle and a passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries following the crash outside St Mary’s Church, Beverley.
Hengate was blocked for a short period following the accident at 11.30am.
Humberside Police say the elderly driver and his female passenger were taken by ambulance to hospital.
It is understood the female passenger suffered minor cuts when the silver Saab 95 car smashed into the corner of the ancient church wall in Hengate.
