Tributes to 'kind, funny and caring' dad shot and killed by crossbow in horror attack



Tributes are flooding in for a man killed after being allegedly shot by a crossbow in a rural East Yorkshire village.
Shane Gilmer, 30, was at a house in Southburn, near Driffield, with his pregnant girlfriend, when they were attacked.
Key suspect Anthony Lawrence is still on the run following a huge police manhunt throughout yesterday.
Mr Gilmer, 30, has been described as a man who had “helped so many people”, as friends and family struggle to come to terms with the dad-of-three’s sudden death.
