Tributes paid to man who fell 500ft from cave in Lake District



A CLEETHORPES man who tragically died after plunging nearly 500ft from a cave in the Lake District has been remembered as a "true inspiration" who "really did live life to the full."
Kevin Ryan, 50, was killed after he 'slipped' down the face of Dove Crag fell, near Glenridding, on Saturday night.
Mr Ryan, who worked as a sports massage therapist in Cleethorpes, had intended to spend the night at Priest's Hole - a shallow overhang high on Dove Crag - with a group of eight friends.
