Trent Lock 'Explorers' go to school on canal wharf

It's the out-of-school activity that ticks a host of educational boxes: maths, physics, history, biology, geography, nature and water safety. Welcome to the classroom on the towpath.
Several local schools and youth groups have signed up to the Explorers programme based at Trent Lock and volunteers from the Canal and River Trust say more are welcome at the converted warehouse overlooking of the Erewash Canal.
