Trapped women rescued from Digbeth shop roof

Two trapped women had to be resuced from the roof of a shop near Birmingham city centre .
Fire crews from Highgate Fire Station were called to Moat Lane, Digbeth , at around 7pm on Monday.
They received a call from a woman saying she and a colleague were locked out and unable to get downstairs.

A fire engine and a hydraulic platform was sent to the scene. The women were rescued from the roof of the premises by firefighters using a hydraulic platform.
