Transocean Winner oil rig move postponed as rough seas halt salvage operation
 

ROUGH seas have brought a halt to the salvage operation of the Transocean Winner oil drilling rig.
The rig, which ran aground at Dalmore almost two months ago during a storm, was due to be loaded onto a heavy transport ship off Lewis .
However, difficult conditions at sea forced the salvage team to temporarily abandon the attempt.
