Wrexham’s poor away form continued at Prenton Park as the Dragons went down to a disappointing 2-0 loss to local rivals Tranmere Rovers.
After a number of vastly improved performances of late, Wrexham struggled at times against a Rovers side with pace and purpose, as well as a physical edge, who were also looking to impress newly appointed manager Micky Mellon.
Wrexham offered little in attack and created only sporadic chances while Scott Davies in the Rovers goal enjoyed a quiet afternoon.
