Tour de France to stage Grand Depart from Dusseldorf in 2017 as race route is unveiled by Christian Prudhomme



Organisers have unveiled the route for next year's Tour de France featuring early climbs in a bid to reward aggressive riders and shake up the sport's greatest spectacle.
The Tour will start from Dusseldorf on July 1 and go through four countries before ending in Paris on July 23. 
Race director Christian Prudhomme peppered the 2017 course with steep climbs, five of them making their first appearance on the Tour and many early in stages.
