He was looking forward to meeting his newborn baby but just three weeks before his fiancee’s due date, he was given some heartbreaking news.
Cagney Wenk, 26, from Boulder, Colorado, was diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
So when the big day arrived, the 26-year-old was still in ICU recovering from his brain operation, as partner Jessica Li went into labour.
