Mauricio Pochettino hailed Tottenham’s performance against Manchester City as ‘nearly perfect’ after winning 2-0 at White Hart Lane.
Aleksander Kolarov’s own goal and Dele Alli’s close-range effort gave Spurs a 2-0 lead at half-time.
Pep Guardiola’s side had a 100% record going into the clash in north London but were second best in every department against Pochettino’s side.
Erik Lamela squandered his spot kick to round-off the victory in the second half but Pochettino was full of praise for his young side afterwards.
