Stein, chairman of the Association of Football Agents, claimed he could have warned the FA that Allardyce was unsuited to the job if they had only asked him.
But in an astonishing gaffe, he then mentioned Allardyce in the same breath as predatory sex offender Savile before claiming the ex England boss was, “Not Mother Teresa”.
Speaking at the Leaders Business Summit in London, a gathering of some of sport’s most influential figures, Stein said: “I’m not suggesting in any shape, form or size that we should be involved in appointing an England manager.
