Bright, shiny toffee apples are surprisingly easy to make and are the perfect treat for Bonfire Night or Halloween. Here chef Goh Weekean, from Cosmo restaurant, in Derby, shares his recipe for toffee apples:
Toffee apples are a deliciously sticky treat that celebrates the British apple season and heralds the start of winter.
I think you always remember your first bite into a toffee apple; you almost wonder if your teeth will get through and, after the cracking toffee, the apple, which is usually so crunchy, feels almost soft in contrast.
