It’s no secret that smoking causes a wealth of health hazards that mean longterm issues for our bodies.
Although the long term benefits of quitting are well documented - including a decreased risk of cancer - there are short term benefits that appear as early as 20 minutes after your last cigarette.
Sarah Williams, Director of Policy at Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) said: "Stopping smoking is always good for your health and it’s never too late to try.”
