Thug jailed and nine others banned from football games after "mob" violence outside match



A football thug has been jailed and nine others banned from games after violence erupted outside a Tranmere Rovers match.
Trouble flared at a pub near Rovers’ Prenton Park home just after kick-off in the club’s FA Trophy match with AFC Barrow in February.
CCTV footage captured flurries of punches and kicks being delivered - with one fan even knocked unconscious during the chaos.
Police were called to the Prenton Park pub at around 3.30pm after reports of trouble breaking out after kick off.
