Thousands of Wrexham and Flintshire council houses deemed sub-standard
 

Nearly 16,000 council homes in Wrexham and Flintshire have failed to meet acceptable living standards according to figures.
Virtually every one of Flintshire’s 7,176 houses, or 99.7%, were deemed “non-compliant” with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS), leaving only 24 judged up to scratch.
Wrexham also had 8,522 of its 11,226 homes, or 75.9%, below the WHQS standard according to Welsh Government Figures as of March 31 this year.
But Wrexham had improved on 2014/15 where 9,607 where said to be sub-standard.
