Thousands of pounds worth of items stolen as two city centre shops raided
 

Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and electrical items were stolen in early morning raids on two city centre shops.
Mobile phones and iPads were swiped from the EE shop on the top of Market Street , and expensive watches were snatched from Ernest Jones jewellers on St Ann Street .
Both doors of the phone shop had been shattered with thick pieces of glass piled up in the doorway following the theft in the early hours of Thursday morning.
