Thousands object to plan to build 30,000 homes



1 Have your say Thousands of people signed petitions against a blueprint for where 30,000 homes will be built during the next 15 years.
Kirklees Council sought people’s views during a public consultation on its Local Plan, which sets out future housing developments in the local authority area.
A revised version of the plan was discussed at a meeting of the council’s cabinet yesterday and will now be examined by the government inspectors to make sure it complies with planning rules.
