This wheeler dealer dodged £1.25million in tax on imported gold watches jailed
 

A luxury watch dealer who dodged £1.25million in tax by falsifying paperwork has been jailed for three years.
Fraud investigators were alerted to the scam after business records, including diaries, invoices, and shipping and courier documents, were examined as part of an HMRC compliance visit to an Isle of Wight business in 2014.
The investigation eventually led them to the home of Darren Reay, 46, in Chilton Moor, Houghton-le-Spring where more than 800 imported watches, without tax paid, were seized.
