This simple headcount shows the increased scale of homelessness in 2017



As we head towards Winter the ECHO can reveal the scale of Liverpool’s rough sleeping crisis - and that it could be getting worse.
On just one morning walking through the city centre we counted 33 people sleeping on the streets of our city.
It comes as the council unveil an in-depth report into the problem which said that there were 21 people rough sleeping in the city at the end of 2016.
The dramatic difference suggests that the number of people living on the street could be on the rise.
