Thirteen miles and thousands of pounds - gulf between property prices in Northumberland villages



They may only be 13 miles apart, but when it comes to house prices there is a gulf between these two Northumberland villages.
Analysis of average property prices in England and Wales reveal the divide between Longhorsley and nearby Choppington is among the top 10 largest in the country.
The median price paid for a house in Longhorsley during the last quarter of 2016 was £418,119, more than four times higher than in Choppington, where it was £100,805.
And housing experts believe it is the former’s variety of housing that makes it so attractive.
