The tricky subject of third party ownership (TPO) in football has reared its ugly head once again after Sam Allardyce was filmed discussing workarounds as part of an investigation.
Allardyce, who was appointed England manager following the country's failure at Euro 2016, did not openly advocate for the system.
However, while speaking to undercover reporters from The Telegraph, Allardyce did suggest that the practice, which is banned by the Premier League, was still possible in 'all of South America, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, all of Africa'.
