These 'death trap' flats have been shut down by council over fire risks
 

Six flats have been shut down by council officials who feared the place was a “potential death trap” that put tenants at risk.
Inspectors who visited the Grey Road property, in Walton, on Wednesday found smoke detectors were not working, that there were problems with fire doors and that there was a “dangerous electricity meter”.
As a result, they secured an emergency closure order to shut down the flats by the end of the day.
