Theresa May’s chief speechwriter Chris Wilkins has quit.
The Tory veteran is the latest trusted aide to have left the Prime Minister’s team following the June election.
Her joint chiefs of staff Nick Timothy and Fiona Hill resigned shortly after the disastrous vote.
Will Tanner and John Godfrey, who were her policy chiefs, also left.
Mr Wilkins had been part of Mrs May’s team for years and had also served as her strategy director.
