This video shows fascinating pictures of three Coventry city centre streets lost to car travel and shopping centres.
Butcher Row was one of the Coventry streets knocked down to make way for the cars and lorries being made in increasing numbers in the city's factories.
More and more people were owning cars as well as working in the car factories. And they wanted to drive their cars around the city centre. But the narrow streets, laid out as long ago as the 12th century, were best suited to people on foot and horses pulling carts.
