The secret to splitting an Oreo: Researchers create robot arm to unravel the science of how to always get the filling (and conclude you just need to twist one in each packet to find out)

When faced with the dilemma of sharing a single Oreo between two people there is only one thing to do – twist the cookie in half and hope your side gets the cream.
However, a group of Princeton University physicists have discovered a method that predicts exactly which side ends up with the tasty filling.
The team found that the cream holds onto the same side of all 36 cookies in the box, meaning you only need to twist one apart in order to figure the rest out.
