The Red Barn: David Hare's 'ice-cool' thriller opens at National Theatre
 

Sir David Hare's latest stage play The Red Barn has opened at the National Theatre to a string of three and four star reviews.
One called it "an ice-cool show" but another said it felt "underpowered".
Directed by Robert Icke, the cast includes Mark Strong, Hope Davis and The Night Manager's Elizabeth Debicki.
Based on the novel La Main by Maigret creator Georges Simenon, the story unfolds in Connecticut in 1969.
It begins with two couples struggling to get home through a violent snowstorm after a party. But not all of them arrive safely.
