The mysterious 'Higgs BISON' is found: Ice Age cave paintings show the origins of the elusive hybrid species



Artworks created by Ice Age cave artists 15,000 years ago have shed light on a previously unknown hybrid species of bison and cattle.
The animal is dubbed the Higgs Bison because of its elusive nature, in reference to the Higgs Boson or 'god particle' - the existence of which was only confirmed in 2013.
The beast originated 120,000 years ago when now-extinct Aurochs – the ancestor of modern cattle – bred with Steppe Bison that ranged across the cold grasslands from Europe to Mexico.
