The 'Marmite crisis': What does it really mean?
 

If you've been near a news website, radio, or newspaper recently, you can't have failed to notice that a crisis of unimaginable proportions is affecting the nation's shoppers.
That's right - Marmite is unavailable at Tesco online.
In fact it's not just Marmite, but a host of other products made by retail giant Unilever, including Pot Noodle, Hellmann's mayonnaise, and Cornetto. The company is believed to have demanded a 10% price rise, due to the falling value of sterling, and then halted deliveries to Tesco when it refused.
