The Hull food outlets that have dramatically improved hygiene ratings



Food outlets in Hull with disappointing hygiene ratings have improved after being re-scored.
Hull City Council is now urging more businesses to apply for re-scores before displaying ratings becomes compulsory.
More restaurants, cafes and takeaways are applying for re-scores but the council's environmental health team is urging more to take advantage.
Last week, Northern Ireland followed in the footsteps of Wales and made displaying hygiene ratings compulsory. Paul Turner, principal environmental health officer, is warning outlets to prepare for similar laws in England.
