The heartbreaking story behind couple married 60 years found dead in Ainsdale home
 

A devoted couple found dead just yards apart “couldn’t survive without one another,” upset relatives revealed today.
Rowland Hilton, 82, killed himself shortly after his terminally-ill wife Mary, 79, died from her longstanding lung cancer.
Today, after their joint inquest earlier this week at Sefton Coroner’s Court, family members and friends paid tribute to them.
The pair were discovered on May 3 in the summerhouse of their home in Ainsdale after their family solicitor received a suicide letter from the Hiltons, stating their intention to end their lives.
