Grave fears are held for a baby dolphin spotted with marine netting tightly wrapped around its neck.
The entangled calf was spotted off Cairns in far-north Queensland, sparking a search to rescue the mammal and address an surge in marine debris.
The stricken-calf has been seen twice with its mother since the end of September, but marine scientists fear it will die if it is not rescued as they have been unable to find it over the past week.
