The wild enthusiasm of a sell-out press night audience – mostly women for some reason – for The Full Monty was not misplaced. It was a highly entertaining evening. Seasoned Thatcher bashers had a lot to enjoy of course, but so did everyone else.
It's a well-known story: unemployed Sheffield steel workers, thrown on the scrapheap by the collapse of their industry, form a sub-Chippendales troupe of male strippers to make a few quid.
