The Florida Project review: A life-affirming celebration of individuals
 

On the outskirts of Orlando, two motels are filled with families struggling to get by.
Halley (Bria Vinaite) is barely more than a kid herself but she does her best to provide for her six-year-old daughter Moonee (Brooklynn Prince).
With Halley absent as she either works or seeks work, Moonee is almost feral, running wild and creating trouble every day.
The only person who keeps an eye out for her and her friend Scooty (Christopher Rivera) is gruff, weary motel manager Bobby, played by Willem Dafoe who hasn’t had this good a role in a long time.
