The end of an era for Apple as it kills off the iPod Nano and Shuffle first launched by Steve Jobs in 2005



Some of Apple's earliest and most beloved music players are officially off the market.
Earlier today, Apple quietly killed off the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle.
It was first noticed that the devices' product pages were removed from the online store, but now it has been confirmed the company will no longer sell them.

Additionally, Apple is reducing its lineup of iPod Touch devices and giving those remaining a price cut.
The company will now offer only the 32 GB and 128 GB models of the iPod touch at reduced prices - $199 and $299 respectively.
