The Cumberland Show will quit the racecourse for 2017
 

North Cumbria’s flagship agricultural event, the Cumberland Show, is moving locations.
The Cumberland News has learned that, from next year, its new home will be on farm land at East Park, Brisco, on the outskirts of Carlisle, the home of the Coulthard family.
This is the fourth venue the show has had since it was first held in 1832.
For the past six years the biggest date in the area’s country diary has been staged at Carlisle Racecourse, chosen as it was considered less prone to flooding and also offered indoor facilities.
