The council are interested in buying the Liver Building



Liverpool Council is considering buying the Royal Liver Building.
The iconic landmark went up for sale this week with a £40m pricetag.
The council already owns another of the Three Graces - the Cunard Building, which it bought for £15m two years ago.

Speaking at property fair Mipim UK in London today, Liverpool Council chief executive Ged Fitzgerald said the building had already attracted lots of interest from potential buyers.
And he says the Royal Liver Building could make a good investment for the city council.
