The Big Pink Dress is back with a heartbreakingly beautiful theme for this year's Great North Run



It’s become one of the Great North Run’s most recognisable sights: the Big Pink Dress - and the 6ft 6in former rugby player inside it.
Colin Plews - the dedicated fundraiser behind the iconic dress - often choses a unique theme for the homemade outfit in which he takes on the famous race each year, to raise money for breast cancer charities.
But this year, he’s done something extra-special.
Colin’s dress - which is always heavy, but this year weighs in at a massive three-and-a-half stone - will be bedecked with roses, each one representing the memory of one of his supporters’ lost loved... read more
